1. How do I measure my countertop space? **(SEE VIDEO BELOW)**
Measure, in inches, the lengths of all counter tops, including base cabinets and islands. For example, assume that you have 144 inches of counter top. This will be the length of backslash as well. Multiply your total length by 26, the width in inches of standard counter tops, to find total counter top area in square inches. So, 144 inches times 26 inches yields 3,744 square inches. Multiply 144 inches by 4 inches to find your total back splash area in square inches. That's 144 times 4 inches, yielding 576 square inches of back splash. Add the two totals together to find total square footage: 3,744 plus 576 equals 4,320 square inches. Divide 4,320 by 144 to convert to square feet: 30 square feet of granite.

3. What is the best product to use when cleaning granite or marble?
The Marble Institute of America strongly recommends water and non colored anti bacterial soap.
4. What makes one stone more expensive than another?
Granite colors are very important. Most stones are priced by the quarry and based on availability to the public.
5. Where can I go to choose my natural stone?
By stopping in at our location first, we can narrow down color selection at our fabrication shop. If the colors that we have in stock do not appeal to your taste, we have three distributors around metro Atlanta, where you can view more than 350 natural stone colors.
6. Will my kitchen have a seam?
Typically, most kitchen applications and some bath applications will have a seam. The average size of the slabs are 113'' by 68'', some are smaller and some are larger. In order to find out where seem placement will go, always ask during the template phase of the process.
7. Will the sealer protect my countertops?
Yes, we use an industrial grade sealer recommended by the Marble Institute of America, far superior than any shelf grade sealers found at your local home improvement outfit. Additionally, the application is extremely important. We have experience installers who specialize in equal distribution of the sealer, making sure every square foot gets covered equally.
8. Are all fabricators the same? Why is another fabricator cheaper or more expensive?
Fabricators are not importers and distributors of Natural stone, in most cases, and do not carry buying power with all colors. Common colors purchased more frequently, are usually more affordable. Additionally, residential fabricators specialize in custom fabrication determining all subtle and minute nuances of a customers project. General fabricators or commercial fabricators, most often, are cutting rough dimensions and use different techniques to polish the stone. For example, an IHOP bathroom may be treated differently than a customers personal master bathroom.
9. Are there any additional charges besides the stone countertops?
Depending on your particular needs, will determine the final cost of the project. If you need a sink or faucet, these items can be provided by Best Fabrication Services, LLC (please refer to our sink page). We also provide cook top cut applications, when necessary, with a standard range between $100 to $150. Please also ask about our industrial grade sealers starting @ $95.00 for maintenance and product service protection plans.
10. What are the deposit policies and turn around times?
With cash or check deposit, payment terms are 60% to get the job started and 40% once the job is completed and customer has checked off customer satisfaction form. From template date, turn around time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. With credit card payment, 100% is due at the origination of contract and invoice and is subject to 3% merchant fee. Merchants provided are PayPal or Square accepting Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
